Welcome

Subscribe to get cultural riffs on modern womanhood, honest musings and personal essays from the lens of a Gen X woman transitioning from motherhood to elderhood. (I hate the term “empty nest” but that’s happening)

About Me

Relentlessly curious, Gen-X Writer, Documentary Filmmaker and Mother at the end of my 30 year stint raising a triad of creative kids in a conservative, competitive DC suburb. Single for a decade. Lover of music, film, books, food, art and artists. Disentangling from all the norms and shoulds of womanhood. “Going back to Cali,” for my “sister life” and a livelihood of creativity. Currently working on a documentary film for families impacted by addiction and publishing a memoir, Thresholds of Enchantment, of a year everything changed. You can read it here on Substack.

Still (mostly) wearing all black.
